The France House was built with the surrounding landscape in mind.
Because the house is in a bushfire prone area, a conventional approach simply wouldn’t apply here. This three bedroom, two bathroom custom built home features a unique roof design made of insulated fridge panels. The installation of the panels is specifically for thermal and bush fire reasons.
Timber floors are laid throughout the home, giving a much more natural and warm look. The garage provides direct access to the kitchen which gives way to an open dining and family area. The outdoor alfresco area accessible from the main area creates an extended space perfect for a relaxing evening.
This home was a finalist for the 2010 HIA-NAB South West Housing Award for Custom Built Homes in the $375,000 to $575,000 range.
